I am chronically broke lately, so I haven't been able to show you many purchases lately. I do have something to show you now though! I recently got a new phone (an LG Viewty Smile), and as I didn't want to get the screen all scratched up, I went on the hunt for a cute phone cozy.
I ended up buying this cutie from Cilli on DaWanda. I love it! It looks great, it's soft, so it protects my phone, and it's easy to open, so when my phone rings I can get it out before it stops ringing. I am one of those persons who has to dig through their entire handbag to find their phone before picking up though, so I usually end up being too late anyway, but that's not the point here ;)
No matter how much I love searching for paper goodies to feature on Stationery Saturday, I thought it was time for a change. So when Andreanna from Glamasaurus started posting CIC Saturday, and asked the other members of the Crafting in Color Etsy Team to join in, I decided to do just that. I am the founder of the team after all! And even though I am not the team leader anymore, I still love the team, and think that the color on Etsy deserved a little more attention.
Sooooooo...from now on the Saturdays on the Tizzalicious will be dedicated to the Crafting in Color Team. Today I am starting with some colorful autumn themed products. Enjoy!
I have been feeling a little lost lately. Or maybe not lost myself, but like I lost the things I love to do. I spend too much time doing things I have to do, and too little doing the things I want to do. Maybe making a list of things I love doing will help me remember to actually do them?
As I mentioned before, I am busy with a huge catch up spree to get all the stock I have lying around added to the shop. I have a added quite a bit already, but there is still a whole lot to come. Here's a little peek at what's to come:
There is more though! Lots of ear posts, hair bows and key chains are on their way too. I wonder if I will ever get caught up! I hope so, because I told myself I am not allowed to make anything new before all this is up, and I miss creating things!
DaWanda is a European based shopping platform for handmade products. Every wednesday I pick one of my favorite DaWanda sellers, and share some of there items with you. This week I picked Popjes Art Shop.
I recently found a box filled with my jewelry making history! It's filled with hobby rubber, which my sister and I called "klippenmaakspul" (clip make stuff). We used to spend hours making earrings necklaces and hair clips with this stuff when I was little.
I love how everything was still in the battered old shoebox that my sister and I covered in random stickers.
Everything was still in there, even some half finished projects, like this (awful!!) hair clip. I am glad I can say that my jewelry making skills have improved somewhat ;)
The instruction booklets (incl. cheesy 80's pictures) were still there too. Maybe I should try to make some of this liquorice sometime?
It's great to see all this again. It really is what got me started with making jewelry, so in a way, it was the start of my future! How did you get started making the things you make?
I made cupcakes for the first time recently. Can you believe I never made them before? I always wanted to, but somehow I never got around to it. When my cousin was visiting for a few days last week we finally went for it though. (We shopped all week and our money ran out, hence our sudden spare time.)
We added some coconut rasp and sprinkles, which ended up all over the kitchen. It was worth it though, they were delicious!
