Baby News!

I have exciting baby news! No, I am not pregnant myself, but my little sister is! I am going to be an aunt! I've known for a while now, but I had to keep it a secret until my sister and her boyfriend told everyone they wanted to tell in person. I got the all clear a few weeks ago, and shared it on Twitter, but I never got around to sharing the big news here.

My sister and her boyfriend have been together for what seems centuries (in reality it's 8 years, they started going out when she was 18), so I was always secretly (and not so secretly) hoping that they would start making babies soon, but I didn't really expect it to happen so suddenly. I love it!

People now seem to think that just because she is 2 years younger than me, I suddenly need to be pregnant too, or that it's hard for me that my younger sister is having a kid before I am. Huh? No! I am just really really happy. It's not the right time in life for me to start a family, but I did reach the "OMG babies are so cute, can I steal yours?" phase, so what's better than getting a niece or nephew, a baby that is soooooooooooooo close to me, but not mine?
