As you can see, I used the Tilda fabric I bought last month for these 2 rings. I have made bobby pins with the same fabric too, but I don't have pictures of those yet. The weather has been bad, so it's hard to take decent pictures these days. I can't wait for spring & sun!
As some of you might know, I have a slight tea addiction. One of my favourite brands is Celestial Seasonings, they use all natural ingriedients, and have a huge range of flavors. As I don't drink caffeine (no black tea for me!) I am especially happy with their huge selection of herbal teas.
When I was shopping the other day I discovered a flavor I never tried before: Chocolate Raspberry Bliss. It's absolutely delicious! I love the packaging too!
Browsing their website made me realise how many of their flavors I haven't tried yet though. Unfortunately they don't ship outside the US, so I won't be able to go on a crazy tea shopping spree, but maybe I will be able to find some more here. A lot of health stores sell many different flavors, so if I'm lucky I'll be able to find some of the ones that I think I would love, like Vanilla Hazelnut or Vanilla Rose Strawberry.
Sometimes I feel like I can start my own supply shop with the amounts of charms, beads and appliques I have. I ordered a whole bunch of new things in December, and the packages kept on coming this month. It was a busy month for our mail man, and a great mail month for me!
I bought some new sorting boxes yesterday, and I spent most of today sorting all my new supplies in their brand new boxes.
I am so excited about all the new charms I bought! I can't wait to start playing with them. I'm especially in love with these:
I actually bought a lot more than these though. I only sorted my metal charms today, so I didn't take pictures of the bazillions of plastic charms, plastic beads & semi precious stones yet. I might do that one of these days, they are in desperate need of being sorted & used as well!
Does anyone else have a supply shopping addiction? I would love to see pictures of everyone elses stash of supplies!
I don't know what it is about cupcakes, but unlike most food, it's even cute without a face! As a result, this week's Cute Craftster is actually a Cute Bakester: The Cupcake Mint. Warning: The following pictures might make you hungry & craving cupcakes!
This week's Stationery Shop is a useful one for everyone who owns their own business: Max & Bella sell adorable customized stickers, address labels, tags, business cards, anything you need to send out a pretty package!
You know you are addicted to your button machine when you plan on going to Ikea, but then when the mailman rings the doorbell and delivers your new button sized punches, you switch plans and make buttons all day instead. The result, a whole bag full of promo buttons:
Making buttons is seriously addictive! Once I started I just couldn't stop. It's so easy too. I expected I would have a bit of trouble, because I have no arm muscles whatsoever, but it turns out that no muscle is required, and even my spaghetti arms can make perfect buttons.
So far I have only made a whole bunch of 1 inch buttons, but the nice people from Merchandise (who now have a special site for just button machines & parts: buttonmachine.nl) where I bought my machine, noticed the blog post I wrote about that some time ago, and sent me a huge box of parts to make mirrors, key chains and key chain mirrors to thank me! How sweet of them!
I had my machine for a while, but I had a bit of trouble getting the buttons right because of the circle cutters I had. I had the ones you place on the paper, and then rotate the handle, to cut out the circle. I couldn't for the life of me get them positioned right, so I decided to invest in a better punch, like the one above. It works like a dream!
By the way, am I a total geek for spotting this "Enterprise" sticker immediately after opening the box of my machine, and going: "Squeeee! Enterprise!"? I am such a Trekkie, the boyfriend will be proud.
When leafing through a magazine in a waiting room earlier this week, I spotted this colorful pair of cherry shoes, and I knew I had to share them with you! Aren't they fantastic?
They are available at LaBeuf Shoes in Amsterdam. I have never been to the shop myself, but I will make sure I go in to take a peek next time I'm in Amsterdam.
Talking about shoes, when you live in a rainy country like I do, these might come in handy:
The Shuella! Indeed, that's a Shoe Umbrella! They come in 4 different colors (black, pink, green & yellow) and are available online at Shuella.com. Maybe I should get a pair for my mom, who is known to put freezer bags & rubber bands around her feet on rainy days!
I am a sucker for vimyl wall art, at the moment my walls aren't suitable for it, but I am looking forward to the day I will move to a new place where I will be able to decorate my walls with one of the amazing designs I have spotted over the past year.
One shop I will definitely keep in mind is Creative Eric. His designs are different, unusual, and original. I love them!
Earlier this week I got an e-mail from the girls at Delightful Divas, telling me about their new sample boxes. They asked me if I was willing to share their press release with my readers. Well, I am a big fan of sample boxes, and with a name like Sweet Delight Divalicious Sample Boxes, how could I resist?
