Mission Achieved: Learning How To Knit

Knitting

Right in time for the end of the year, I mastered the skill of knitting! I have tried to learn how to knit tons of times before, I even blogged about how much I sucked at it. I never seemed to get to hang of it though, until now!

It's still a little bit too right, but it's even, and I learned how to pick up fallen stitches, so no more holes!

So far it's just practice pieces, but maybe I will try a real project soon. Those of you who can knit, what do you suggest for a beginner?

  2. Hehehe good work:)! Usually beginners start with a scarf, but you can try and make a bag too. Have you looked for free tutorials on Internet?

  5. Lovely!

How about some fingerless mittens, you sew a flat piece that will wrap around your hand/wrist. Sew the edges together and leave a hole for your thumb to poke through. Easy!

  6. I agree with Bianca about the bag. It's more gratifying that a scarf- just make a rectangle, fold it over and stitch. You can use a store-bought handle or knit 2 strips and line w/canvas strips. Just make sure you sew in a fabric lining, or it will stretch!
