Purchases From The Fabric Market in Utrecht: "De Lapjesmarkt"
Every Saturday morning there's a large fabric market in Utrecht, the largest city near my hometown Nieuwegein. It closes at 12.00, so you have to make sure to get up early, but it's definitely worth it.
Last time I was there I planned on only buying red polkadot fabric (as mine ran out), but I came home with a lot more than that! (How could I not, with stalls filled with gingham & polka dot fabric like the one above? I had a hard time not buying some in every shade!)
Fabric! The pink with dots is to make hair clips and rings (you will find them in the shop soon!), and the plain pink and gingham pink is to cover my stall, whenever I am going to do a market. I have no idea when that will be, but I am planning on doing one some time soon, so when I spotted this fabric in the exact colors of my website & packaging, I just couldn't resist!
Ribbons! I needed the red, white & blue one for some Dutch themed things I have in mind. The other ones were just too pretty & cute not to buy.
Aaaand last but not least, a Matryoshka applique. I don't know what to put it on yet. A top? a Skirt? I think I will make myself a simple pink or red skirt and add it to that with some ribbon and things like that.
