FAQ, Health & A Peek At My Supplies: Turquoise!

I was hoping I would be able to show you a couple of new items today, but because my health still isn't what it should be, I haven't been able to add anything to Tizzalicious.com yet. I won't show any pictures until it's all there, but if you are curious, you can take a peek at Etsy or DaWanda, where you will be able to find some of the new goodies!

Instead of showing you the new stuff, I thought I'd just give you another peek at my supplies. Turquoise, Teal & Aqua today! It's nowhere near as much as the pink, but I love them anyway! (More buddha's & cameos! Yay!)

Turquoise Supplies

I got a couple of questions about my supplies when I showed you my charms & pink stash, so I will answer thos today too.

Not very surprisingly, the most common question was: "Where do you buy your supplies?" I will have to dissapoint those of you who asked this question, I buy most of my supplies in wholesale stores in Holland. I also shop on Ebay & Etsy a lot. And yes, unfortunately a lot of times huge shipping costs are inevitable, especially when you are in Europe. I solve this buy just buying loads at once. It's risky, because I end up having to pay large custom fees sometimes, but what can you do?

Another question I was is: "Do you sell your charms seperately?" Well, I have actually been thinking about opening a supply store. As you might or might not know, I'm on disability, and I would like to be able to get rid of that, and make a living with my shop. Having a supply shop would be a nice supplement to what I make with the shop, and might make me reach that goal sooner. However, I haven't quite figured out if it's worth it yet. Because I buy a lot of my supplies in Euro's, or pay high shipping costs on them, I fear they might end up too expensive if I want to resell them. In other words, I will have to think about this a little more. Of course I will let you all know if I do decide to open a supply shop!

Oh, and while I'm answering questions anyway, I might aswell answer some health related questions too. Some of you asked if I have tried some alternative medicine, or natural remedies. I wish I could say I hadn't tried, because that would mean I would have something new I could try now. But I have tried what seems like everything under the sun. Accupuncture, herbs, a couple of alternative type persons that did god knows what with my energy patterns and their hands (I don't know the English name), biofeedback therapy,... I've tried it all. I've seen psychologists, psychiatrists, and taken every medicine my neurologist (who I've been seeing since I was about 7) could think of, but still nothing (apart from the dreadful Topamax I mentioned the other day) seems to have any effect.

I really appreciate all the sweet comments & advive everyone gave me though. Even though I have tried so much, that magical cure that I don't know about yet might still be out there!

  2. When I saw those little owls peeping out from the boxes, I almost fainted! How cute! And they are perfect as studs:)
I'm sorry that you haven't been able to find a cure yet. However, I'll cross my fingers for you:) Doctors have made big progresses during these last years, so perhaps they'll find out a cure soon.
Oh, and obviously good luck with your shop:) But do you want to open it in a real place, or simply mantaining the online shop?
    Good night!

  7. Have you tried beta blockers for your migraines? My husband used to suffer with very bad migraines (a couple a week) until he went onto these and he has only had one bad headache since.

  8. Turquoise is sooo pretty! Definitely one of my favourite colours - my hallway is waiting to be painted turquoise and orange.
I'll be praying for your migraines (if you don't mind). That sounds like a difficult illness to have so regularly.
Keep us updated on the progression of your business! I hope you do someday get to use only art for a living.

  11. Oh! Are you in Amsterdam? I found an incredible fun little beadstore whilst wandering around. It was like an apothecary and had all kinds of heavy wooden white pull out drawers. I should have bought way more when I was there . . . :(
