I finished the new version of Tizzalicious.com, and it's online now! I am very pleased with how it turned out.
Like I mentioned before, I installed Mal's-E, a shopping cart system that works like the Paypal cart, with buy it now buttons you add to the site by placing a bit of HTML on the page. Only with Mal's you can include things like different options (color, size, etc.), accept different currencies, and a very important one: add weight & location information to calculate shipping.
It was a bit of work to edit all my pages, but I think it was definitely worth it. Everything worked right away, there were no weird glitches or errors, and I love the way you can edit the cart's look to match your site.
While I was at it, I changed the layout of the site a little, I added 2 new sections (Men & Mirrors & Beauty, both still empty at the moment, but they won't be for long!), and added flags for language selection, as I'm working on a Dutch version of the site also.
I now also accept payments in both Euro's & USD, as I am from Europe, I figured it didn't make sense to only accept USD, plus this way I could add sales tax to my prices for European customers only.
Oh, and to pimp Mal's E a bit more: I sent a question to their customer support about intergration of a Dutch paying system, and I got a reply within 5 minutes. Much better than Paypal, where I have asked questions months ago that are still unanswered. Not that I'm all anti-paypal now of course, I still love using it for payments, but the cart wasn't all that fantastic, so I am glad I found a suitable replacement for it.
