Have you ever made something that's completely different from what you usually do? I don't mean different crafts, but a different style. I made two pairs of earrings as a present for my mom, which are completely different from what I usually do. I love how they turned out, but they are so not me, and so not my shop. I think.
I made them using square pieces of pressed wire (???) that I found in the craftstore, and more wire and beads. I never really used wire before, so it was quite a challange for me to get it through the other wire, and blend it in, while having the beads in the right spot at the same time. But I managed!
My mom is super happy with her new earrings! I have to admit though, I did feel like I was back in kindergarten, the days of making clay ashtrays as presents for my parents.
What do you think? Would they fit in in my shop, and would people who like my other goodies love these too, or would they stand out too much?
